Authors, Writers and Business Owners…I have news!

Good Morning!!

The POV Lounge is BACK!!!

I’ve been on a two month long vacation and I think I am ready to bring it this year with literary advice and tips. I have a lot of new things to introduce to you.

First, Monday’s are now VIP with Dominique. I want to start our week off with business on our minds. Getting down to the “business” of being an author. Second, The POV Lounge will continue to be a Blog Tour stop. I will begin accepting submissions for tours on September 1st. You can view available dates here: http://www.literarycareermoves.com/blog-tours I will also continue to do author book reviews. I review one book a month and I am currently only accepting ebooks. If you would like to submit your book for a review right now, please do so by clicking the link: https://thepovlounge.wordpress.com/pov-book-reviews/

I am also providing the service of Book Release Promotion. This was very popular back in May. I do suggest all authors check out the information and submit their book. Details can be found here: https://thepovlounge.wordpress.com/book-release-promotion/

Wednesday’s will continue to be Question of the Week. I think many of my readers really appreciated the questions and feedback. So be sure that you tune in.

You can look forward to seeing the Hot Topic on Friday’s now and Curling up with a Page Turner will continue to flow through the blog. It’ going to be a great start for the fall. Poetry Promotion was a bit scattered back in February and March, but I’d like to pick it up again. Tune in on September 1st. to view the next month’s theme: https://thepovlounge.wordpress.com/this-months-poetry-promotion/

So what can you do right now? Authors, sign up for Book Release Promotion and Book Reviews. Blog Tour Hosts, check out the schedule for Blog Tours and put The POV Lounge your schedule.

Book of the Month; “The Illusions of Everything Sacred”

This month, From A Writer’s POV Book of the Month is “The Illusion of Everything Sacred” We sat down with the author Queenetta Ross-Davis and got to know her and the book. Join us as we spotlight the book of the month, “The Illusion of Everything Sacred”

“The Illusion of Everything Sacred” is a dramatic episodic fiction about ordinary people being exposed to or placed in situations in their relationships that compromises their ability to think…sensibly, and to react rationally. The evolution in Queenetta selecting a title that accurately reflects the novel was quite natural in respective to the storyline. The Illusion of Everything Sacred summarizes the deception many fall prey to in their own relationships.

She is also a reality tv junkie. Favorite shows include anything dealing with dance, Project Runway, Real Housewives of Atlanta, House, 24 & Fringe.

Through her writing L’Mignon hopes to captivate her readers by providing descriptive situations that will paint vivid images in their minds. She aspires to bring the girl next door character to life by always presenting everyday situations we all can relate to in her stories.

Miaisha “Mimi” Middleton was born in Tacoma, Washington. She spent most of her adolescent years living between there and Southern California.

Miaisha’s tour in the Army and her military influenced life gave her many events and experiences to write about.  It was her college professors who taught her how to fully use her craft.  Her love of writing and storytelling expertise allows her readers to go on one fantastic journey after another; many of which she considers to be, “The Misadventures of Mimi”.

During what she considered her Art Renaissance, Miaisha uncovered a glimpse of her creative genius with new discoveries being made every day.  In addition to being a published author, she is an accomplished artist and jewelry designer.  She is absolutely amazed at all of the possibilities life has yet to uncover and uses this ability to weave webs of intricately woven bits of nonfiction into every story.  Her well practiced writing motto is, “Every story can be turned into the extraordinary.  How far are you willing to push it?  Now, jump!”  This mantra has allowed Miaisha to share the endless possibilities of the human psyche and how we all can truly identify with her characters.

She is a cool wife and outstanding mother of three boys.  Her personality is echoed by her quick-witted humor and writing style.  She and her art renaissance are reflecting light in Fredericksburg, Virginia with frequent trips to Richmond, VA and her alumatter, Virginia State University.

Today’s Spotlight!

Miaisha is not a blogger yet she’s apart of several social networks and can be found on facebook and twitter at: anibymimi;

Not only is she a writer and author, she’s also a jewelry designer. Her designs are very unique and beautiful. On her jewelry site you will find necklaces, bracelets and earrings.  All items can be seen here: www.anibymimi.com
