Getting Started in Writing Month; Parth Three “Displaying your work”

Now that you know what you want to write and you know what you need to do, let’s talk about displaying your work.

A lot of writers are not comfortable with displaying their work. They are not comfortable with joining social networks and allowing people to read their work. This can only go on for a while because if you plan to go far with your writing and you’re too shy right now to display it, you’re going to have problems down the road.

At some point you are going to have to allow people to critique your work. You won’t know if you’re doing a good job or not if no one tells you. You can always start slow. Have a friend or family member read it. Do this a couple of times. After a while, you will get comfortable with displaying your work.

Now that you have come to the end of the articles, you need to ask yourself, how far do you want to go with your writing? Publish it, make a scrapbook, make cards to give to family members? It’s up to you. Some people write just to let off some steam and never think twice about publishing. Others have dreams of being a published author.

It doesn’t matter what you do because now you’ve mastered the art of writing and the options are endless if you decide to make it public!
