As we all know our nation is in a recession. A lot of people are taking a big breath after being able to get through the holidays and still have the lights on, bills paid and kids satisfied. But another recession start for us authors.
It’s now a new year and we have new goals to put into work, most are writing or finishing a book. One question we often ask ourselves is how much is it going to cost us to publish a book. With the holidays being over and our pockets being empty, how can we find the money to publish a book?
First, now is not the time to worry about the money. Simply get your funds in order and prepare. Now is the time to make sure the book is done, edited and ready for publication. If the book is not ready for publication, why are you worrying about money?
First things first, get the book together.
Secondly, do you know what publication you are going with? Have you done the research? A lot of times we worry about money when really we have other things that need to fall into place first.
Yes we are in a recession and worrying about money first before anything else is a force of habit but don’t worry about the recession. Get other affairs in order concerning your book and everything else will fall into place!
